At New Look Institute, we are proud and excited to share with you some of the media coverage that our non-surgical hair loss solution for men and women that the CRLAB (formerly known as Cesare Ragazzi Laboratories) CNC system is receiving in North America! Recently, CRLAB an Italy based company’s, CEO Stefano Ospitali was featured on Roger TV’s “In the Know”. The show featured how CRLAB's Capelli Naturalia Contatto natural contact hair system works.
Host Julia Suppa interviewed both Stefano Ospitali and CRLAB CNC client Jen Murphy to give the viewer a front row view of the CNC process. Ospitali describes the system as being a medical grade prosthesis, which replicates the look of the client’s own natural hair and scalp. Because the prosthetic becomes a “2nd skin” anyone wearing the CNC system can live a full and active life in the same way they did with their natural hair.
During the interview, Stefano Ospitali shares a video showing the step-by-step process of creating a CNC hair system. First, a mold of the scalp is created. Measurements of the forehead are taken in a licensed CNC Center, like ours, and exact measurements of the client’s scalp are also taken in order to accurately replicate the client’s head. We will match the client’s exact scalp color, hair color, hairline, and hair pattern. You could say we take a “Michelangelo” approach to create these 100% customized molds.
All of this information is sent to the CRLAB in Italy where they perform a 39-step process, including the use of 3D printing technology. The artisans then map out the area that needs to be reproduced to create the 2nd skin. “In Italy, artisans also hand inject virgin, non-processed human hair into the base. This hair retains its cuticles and is selected and adjusted to perfectly match the client’s existing hair. The hairs are then root grafted from the ends onto the prosthesis by hand. Strand by strand following the direction, inclination, and thickness of the client’s unique specification, paying meticulous attention to the hair line”, Ospitali explains.
The CNC has an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal base, which allows heat to pass through, making it completely breathable. CRLAB then sends the completed hair system back to the studio where it is fitted and attached to the scalp using a secure and clinically tested hypoallergenic fixing agent, which is USFDA Certified. It can be worn as a permanent attachment with this dermatology-tested medical adhesive.
CNC Client Jen Murphy, suffers from trichotillomania and was looking for something that could work for her self-inflicting condition, which doesn’t leave a specific pattern of baldness on her head. She needed something that was customized and was as close to her hair as possible. This process is transformational for millions of hair loss clients like Jen. It had been 12 years since she had put her head under water. The CNC system allowed her to swim again! Victims of hair loss typically feel abnormal. For twenty years Jen did not feel normal. “It feels weird to feel normal because I haven’t felt normal in a long time” says Jen, now that she is a CRLAB CNC client.
After receiving a CNC, clients visit a licensed center every month for maintenance, just as you would for a regular haircut. CRLAB also offers a full line of CRLab trichology products for complete hair health. Look for Stefano Ospitali, CEO of CRLAB, on other future media outlets including Cheddar.com, The Huffington Post, RollingOut.com and New York 1 News.
